I had to say it on Wed. because I decided to share at my 3rd AA meeting, and who introduces themselves without saying that word? One of the hardest things ever. But sort of liberating, in a way. Somewhere, deep down in the depths of denial [dddd -- hey, new acronym?], I still wonder if I can someday go back to being a wine hoarder/ 'conisseuress'/occasional enjoyer rather than a daily wine-o.
Guys, we're all in this boat together. It isn't a competition [who suffers most, who is strongest in sobriety, etc.] -- we're a team! With one common goal: to end the suffering caused by alcohol.
