I've just been invited to my friend's birthday do, she warned me that there'll be drinking and my ex will be there! She said I could come out for the meal with her family instead but I feel like I would be intruding, I don't want her to feel like she HAS to invite me to that. I'm pretty confident that I could go out and not drink any alcohol, it's just the seeing my ex bit that throws me. I also don't get to see this friend very often, and she's one of my best friends, so completely declining would be a difficult option too. Not sure what to do!
GG - It's a good thing that you'll be getting more support, and you won't have to be hiding anything from them anymore! What a relief that'll be!
