Thanks toots! It's been a year with a lot of ups and downs but it's been a year of progress for sure, parents getting divorced, moving flat twice, relationship breakdown so on and so on, I've learned that you don't need alcohol to help you 'cope' or 'deal' with any of the ups and downs of life, in fact, you can handle everything so, so much better without it. I've recently been promoted to a managerial position which is proving to be stressful, I find AVRT, mindfulness and Eckhart Tolle's work proving infinitely useful in not getting too wound up over things. As much as I don't see eye to eye with the AA program, I can see why acceptance is such a fundamental aspect of sobriety.

Kind thoughts always
LS
