Hello, folks! I have attempted sobriety on my own so many times and posted here with my new starts, but they never lasted long. Every time I got a bit of time (2-3 months) I got that "I don't have a problem...I can drink now" thought and sobriety flew right out the window and I was back to square 1. This time, I made my family and myself a promise (I know..done that before), that it would stick. This time, I decided to try AA. I found a couple of really good women's meetings and am happy to say this Sunday will be 3 months. I got a sponsor and know that it is 1 day at a time and that I can not ever drink again. Not sure why during all those other attempts, I was so scared to give AA a try, but am so glad I finally did.
