So this weekend will be my first real test. Last weekend, my first sober weekend in . . .well, forever, went fine, but mostly because I kept busy.
This weekend, specifically Sunday, will be tougher. I'm going out for V Day, and will probably propose to g/f. I hadn't anticipated doing this sober, and there'll be pressure for toasts, etc. She doesn't drink at all, so she's a great woman for me . . . but I don't want to be pressured into even one toast. I understand now that one drink will set me on a "run" again. Also, this sounds crazy, but I never liked the sensation of being drunk. Like I say, I didn't like alcohol, but I sure loved the way it tastes! Anyway, I'm worried about V day.
