Fortunately, my mother's function went well. My brother and I were very civil to each other. My mother was very happy with the family event and it went smoothly. Prior to the function, I resolved to keep a positive state of mind and to only think of helping everyone at the function celebrate and enjoy. Thankfully, that worked !
