Yeah V, that's the problem with being a responsible person - you are inclined to compensate for others who are not so much. If your landlord ends up paying extra because he (she, them, whatever it is) ignored an important responsibility, then sounds like he sucks at being a landlord, which is not your fault. I do understand that now you have to live with repairs going on in your home, which is unsettling, but please don't take this on as your fault. You did your part. Maybe you're thinking you should have warned him that it was getting worse, but that is the natural progression of plumbing issues. If he doesn't understand that, then, again, maybe managing a building isn't his calling...also not your fault.
