I had never heard the term Black Eye Friday. Around here it could be Black Eye Wednesday for the night before Thanksgiving.
I think most people feel the same about Christmas - advertisers do it to us; just like they make drinking look so appealing. Whenever I see an ad with a couple having red wine in front of a fireplace, I am envious, and I have never, ever, ever liked red wine.
