I forgot to say that the woman who fell down the stairs (almost four weeks ago now) is now out of the induced coma. Her physical progress is apparently reasonable but there are grave concerns about her brain function.
She is a very intelligent woman who has recently become very successful with her art but, as Ken has pointed out, addiction knows no boundaries.
She is the single mother of five children aged ten to 21.
