Yes, funny how these days to get anything serviced ends up costing more than just getting a new one. Throw it away, get a new one. We've got the kitchen aid mixmaster one too. It's probably about 12 years old now, but still performs. We dont use the processors much either or this vitamix she bought last year due to the cleaning. Plus let's face it. If you gotta pull it outta the cabinet stored ALL the way in back it becomes too much of a hassle.
