IP, it sounds like you are starting the process of getting settled in to your new place! You sound well-grounded about dumping the guy and sound overall optimistic.
I've gotten roped into helping my fellow inmates at the old folks' home with their computer questions and problems but a few people really spoiled it - I shouldn't be surprised. Computer help morphed into anything tech help - TVs, remotes, voice recorders, phone plans, ad nauseum. So now I'm going to limit my helping to a user group I've started. I've always had a very difficult time saying 'no' but I'm no longer willing to be miserable because i can't!
