----Part of my bad decisions from drinking was to loan a high school "buddy " my old truck, who I found out later was on drugs. Must've been a planned swindle. He made off with it a few months ago. Found out he's divorced, no residence , and in an area about 80 -90 miles from where we live.
Today I'm letting the insurance drop.
Police want you to go through two court hearings for a writ of possession. I work 2 jobs, and can't drive 90 miles 2 different days to a courthouse hearing.
I suppose I'll try the snatch and grab repo type ppl, as I have the title and a set if keys.
Has anyone here ever got swindled out of 1500-2000, in the past? This is my first and I'm having a really hard time looking at my kids feeling like a crappy father for getting burned.
I find no solace in the news that this guy has nothing to do with his children, and is on a one way street to destruction. I just can't have a wreck that he may have on our insurance, and I can't report the truck stolen because I let the person take it.
I just can't get over this.....
