Just when things were looking up - bam, life hits. I'm worried about my financial security, and I'm also worried about what affect this lay off will have on my husband's drinking.

I'm grateful for the tools I'm learning in recovery -acceptance of today's circumstances, living in the now, replacing worrying and forward tripping with faith. I also am learning that the vision I may have of my life isn't necessarily the one my HP has for me, and I'm developing faith that my HP will guide me to live my best. It just so happens that when I got the news about my husband's lay off, I was working on Step 3 with my sponsor.

AA is not the be all, end all for me. I have a full life doing fun things with people for whom recovery is the furthest from their mind. I do come to the Overs hoping to see everyone else's experience, strength and hope.

Thanks for the encouragement, Overs.
