Frank the thing that I didn't understand for a Long time . Was those words you just said : quote - I'm sure they think I'm a jerk, but that's my price for sobriety .
I too felt like a jerk or cold hearted , but I came to realize . I had to take care of me - I was number one . I had to worry & think of my health not them .
Just a little longer Frank you've come this far , did all the hard work . Soon you will be able to get out & make new sober friends . Sorry you had to go through that Crap at the start . Some Dr's have no clue over these matters , if one isn't helpful Always look for another till you feel comfortable ..
