I think that when we clean up our own act, it often shines a light on those around us, and they're faced with questioning their own lives. Unfortunately some people don't see change as a positive thing, and want to see those of us who have chosen a better way, fail. True friends want the best for us.

Rocks, you have chosen the better path, and your future will be so much brighter because of it. One day those people who are finding it difficult to see you blossom now, may join you on that path. Until then it's probably better to let them go.

I'm having a similar dilemma - letting people know that if they come to stay they'll have to abide by the sober house rules. I didn't do that last weekend, and ended up with three drunk people in the house keeping me up too late! I'm sure it didn't add anything to their enjoyment of their weekend, it probably left them with a hangover and ruined the following day for them.

Still learning.

Have a great day everyone.
