OLL, I always feel that I am standing on the sidelines watching at large gatherings, I never feel a part of things. Even with friends I feel like I'm missing some kind of social gene that keeps me slightly apart.

I can relate about feeling apart at gatherings. I was at a pool party this Sunday for a while. Knew some of the people there, but I tended to stay off on the deep end of the pool swimming around. Of course, the other end was full of people just sitting or standing drinking.
First rehearsal was last night and he was quite contrite. This is a far superior group than usual and he was not the almighty expert. It is also a large enough group that he is not near me. Kind of like above, I did not know a lot of the other singers, mostly university music students and recent grads, I may be about the oldest one there, so I kind of kept to myself.
Long day yesterday, so I am looking forward to doing little as possible today.
