I've been on Lipitor, a small dosage, for many years. My cholesterol numbers weren't really high, but elevated. I tried to adjust my diet, which was pretty healthy anyway, but couldn't drop into the desired range. My father died young of a heart attack, so I figured it was worthwhile being vigilant.
