And Arbor, I work the same way. It's like I made up my mind to slip days before it happened, many times. It definitely requires a mindset change that takes practice every day.
Been out and about downtown today. If yall are ever in the Houston area, (after calling me, of course) you've got to check out David Adickes Studios. He's a local sculptor that makes ginormous works. It's in a little nook off of the highway. And it looks like they're moving things around...
