Casey, keep posting here...the journey is so worth it. I could barely believe it in the beginning when I was just keeping it together, stuffing my time with things other than alcohol. Those first few months after hard drinking are just a wild ride.
I forget how much of a mess I was. Unable to concentrate at work, periods of total clumsiness, dropping things, vision problems. My body was a total poisoned mess. Including my mind and how I thought. The fears that chased me about people suspecting I was a drunk....the nightmares.
Gosh....you really do forget how bad it was when your alcoholism is raging at full throttle.
Grateful I held on, even when it's been tough.
