Day 8 here. Feeling strong, had a good sleep and woke up feeling positive about my big plan.

I found this before and slightly amended it to fit me. I like it alot and have wrote it in my journal. I have a huge isolation problem so it spoke to me alot. Thought it might be of use to some of us.

Do not isolate:

The problem with isolating is you get such bad advice

Don't let a sick mind try to heal a sick mind. It is better that we listen to others and follow a recovery program that has been proven to work. If you allow your self consciousness to make you stay at home and miss support meetings or therapy sessions, you will have only yourself to guide you. If you think you can stay sober by avoiding being with anyone or going anywhere, you are just fooling yourself. Eventually, if you just isolate, you will figure out how to use again by yourself.

Be humble. It's O.K. that you can't heal yourself by yourself; get to a meeting today, call your therapist, talk to your SR friends. Go to SMART chat.

Halt the urge. Reaching out for help is a show of strength, not weakness.
