Hi folks,
Stateside on this gorgeous weekend! Today is my grandmother's 100th birthday...how about that? Pretty great to see her the other day, and today I'll join a few family members to go over to the hospice for a little cake. Tomorrow we'll have a large family gathering outside and a BBQ with her also. She's doing well, considering!
In just the last few days I've been able to spend time with aunts, uncles, cousins, second-cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews, siblings, and of course my mother. Quite the whirlwhind of family time, and it's all been very positive and upbeat.
My 3-year sober anniversary quietly passed through my head on 7/7. No time for deep reflections this time, too busy enjoying life. It's been a busy week of travel and seeing family and friends - I couldn't ask for a better way to celebrate being sober!
