Congrats on 2 months Casey!

I like the WW method as well KG. :-) One commonality in RR and AA is that permanent abstinence is the solution, they just diverge on how to "stay stopped". You don't have to buy into the AA explanation of a disease or allergy to realize that going back to "normal drinking" isn't a good bet. We're different somehow, and stopping totally is just the easiest and best solution.

I'm 40, I didn't start drinking until I was around 23/24 y/o. I binged back then but didn't drink all the time. In the years between,my drinking has only gotten worse. For all the effort I've put in, I've never successfully cut back. I might white knuckle a few days, but then binge and black out at the next opportunity to drink. It's miserable and endless, unless I don't drink again.
