KG(B), [Sorry. Had to do that], I have the RR book and I haven't read it all the way through but it got me headed in the right direction. I think that book made me think about finding an online support group and that's when I found SR. So glad I googled!

I was turned off RR was listed in the secular recovery section too. I don't think everyone participating over on that forum is anti-God but it sure would be a bit uncomfortable to stand up and say you're not one of them. I was tempted to start a new thread talking about that very point. I don't think I ever did it, though.

I like RR because it doesn't say we are powerless over alcohol and it doesn't say alcoholism is a disease. I never believed it was a disease but now I'm not sure what I believe. Addiction is what I suffer from and it spreads its tendrils out into various areas of my life and I overindulge because of it. Like I said before, it's not just booze.

I think your head's in the right place now, KG. That is awesome to witness.
