Hey Weekenders!!
I'm very much looking forward to this weekend off work, been a long week, a sleep in tomorrow and some relaxation I think is in order.
I always find it weird around the 4th July when those that I know and the friends that I have in the US get really into the holiday, but soo many people that I know here in Ireland, don't even consider that it is even taking place, kinda like thanksgiving it only exists in certain circles on this side of the Atlantic, some of my work colleagues wouldn't even consider the 4th July as having any significance.
That got me thinking about how these "holidays" can seem like the biggest day in the universe when it comes to the temptation to drink, but they should be an expression of culture, our equivalent here is St Patrick's day, but sadley that has also been hijacked as a drinking day in our minds!!
Anyways, let's keep it Sober everyone!!
