Learning, I've stood at my back gate numerous times having that same argument in my head. "Do I or don't I?" The don'ts won out in the end and I've accumulated sober time. Same here with the chaos drinking the problems away while the drinking became the biggest problem of all. The other problems are now far more manageable now that alcohol isn't the go to problem solver.

I think many of us need that "living room" of mental sobriety where we can come in, kick off our shoes, and say "what's for dinner? How was your day?" Instead of the weightiness of the general threads on the forum. This thread has been a lifeline for me at times. Didn't want to come back and disappoint others or myself.
