Weasel, I love the picture of the boy and the turkey. I do feel sorry for the animals that feed the masses. If I buy meat, I only buy it from stores that guarantee humane handling of the animals.
Camping was wonderful. First time sans alcohol. Nice to be among ponderosa pines and in the mountains. The dogs behaved until the man in the next site started munching on beef jerkey...they flew over to him, dragging their leashes. He got really mad, yelled, and complained to the Rangers. He put a sour note on the excursion for me because I didn't think he had to be such a grouch. But.....I should have had them tied up. I'll be more careful next time.
it's always good to be in the home sweet home. I forgot how cold it gets at night at 8500 feet. Fortunately I was prepared with warm clothes and a down blanket.
