Russia? Wow! I got back from DC last night and I'm back to the grind. Visited my sister, who is doing better than I had thought. She needs to get out more. Bottom line. She was well enough to hike around the memorials on the capitol mall, Arlington cemetery and more. She's depressed but I think my visit helped her see she can handle and very much needs more activity.
We went to the Masonic temple with my sister's boyfriend who is black. He was pretty funny commenting on the portraits of all the grand poopa's. Amazingly enough he grew up ten minutes from the mall and never visited it until he got a job there. Never even a field trip when he was a schoolboy. WTF? Every American should visit the capitol. Robert E. Lee's house, complete with slave's quarters, etc... spoke volumes. Such a strange and twisted history that for the most part teachers are not allowed to reveal to their students. Doomed to repeat...
