Here's the thing about gambling.
I worked in a Nevada casino for several years. Gambling hits those same reward centers in the brain and loops into the addiction cycle. I saw so many lives damaged and ruined by gambling and drinking - and just watching the behavior for so many years proved the connection. It is a compulsion/obsession.
People would fall off their stools from lack of food after playing the slots for 12-20 hours.
