Hi Tizzkins

I am afraid I won't be on SR much this week but I just wanted to let you know I really empathise with you and that what you say makes perfect sense. 7.5 hours into sobriety is really still pretty drunk for me so I have to accept that the first 2 days are going to be horrible after a big binge.

My only advice is to experiment with what makes you feel better. Is there anything on TV, a favourite old book. Getting out of the house or snuggling up on the sofa. Is there a junk food or a warm drink or anything that slightly lifts your mood for a moment? Ice cream? :-)

If so, use it in these early days. It is just a case of taking care and letting sober time elapse - no substitute for that of course.

If you are at all worried though a GP appointment is never a bad thing just to reassure.

I have been there too many times and the only good thing to say about it is that yes, it does get better!

Best wishes
