I think most of us felt we were better on out drugs of choice...at least for a while.
It's not true tho - and I say that with the experience of 30 years of addiction and the best part of decade sober.
with regards to meds and things - none of us are Drs and we don't know your clinical history.
I recommend finding a Dr who knows something about addiction and being totally honest with them about what you've been doing and what you want to do.
saw your other thread - you can also ask them their professional opinion as to whether quitting everything at once is a good idea.
