I was 39 when I realized that I couldn't keep on. I was a late starter to daily drinking at 30. Went through a divorce and went a little crazy. Got pregnant at 39 stayed stopped, started again, got pregnant at 42 stayed stopped and then started again, getting far worse. Had 10.5 months sober at 48 after rehab, relapsed then stopped at 49. I'm fifty now and have 16 months of sobriety. One day at a time. Took me a while.
