My last drink was on 10/23/14. I don't count the start of my sobriety until the 31st because that was the first full day out of detox. The day the choice to not drink was put in my hands. Someone once told me the 31st doesn't count because I was taking Benadryl to help with sleep for a couple weeks after I got out.
I stick with the 31st. It's the last day of the month and it's fun for me to think that I came back to life on Halloween.
