I had big issues with the higher power stuff too, so I turned to SMART. I attended only one meeting (I'm not really a meeting type of person...) and it was fine, but I benefited from the website and some SMART workbooks instead. I wouldn't call myself in active practice of SMART or anything, but it
really helped me to get started. I still use strategies from time to time, but now I've been clean for a few years and find myself not thinking about it as much.
