Oh dear Gonnachange, I really *do* understand, I think, what you are going through. I have two daughters and though they have gone through loss after loss these last @11 years, they have been amazing. Yup, my parents were *idiots* (I thought at 17), but isn't it amazing that they become such sages when we are 20+ years old..?
