I was decades older than you when I quit. I'd been drinking for many years & it was daily when I stopped. It took me a few months to begin to heal and feel human again. I had numbed myself for so long. Be patient with yourself - things should continue to change and improve. Please check with a doctor if you feel that things aren't progressing the way they should.
