You're making a wise choice butterflychef to go to detox. I agree with IAO22's response. One of the news stories that inspired me to get sober this year was Deryk Whibley. He is several years younger than myself and almost died of alcoholism. You don't want to wait until you're in almost the same state he was, so don't listen to your AV. He has been an inspiration for me to get sober.
