Hi Thomas. You can do some exercise without having to stand or run, etc... Once you can move around without pain, once things begin to heal, you may be able to do some floor work, like for your abs, press ups in a chair, using the arms, some weights for your upper body. If you can negotiate getting in and out of machines at the gym, you can do a circuit of weights, once you can get out an about with crutches.

Go to a physical therapist and they can set you up with a program.

So sorry you broke your ankle!! I hope you heal quickly.
