I see aspects of this found in every system, even those that are healthiest. Working out any social contract, business or personal, cultural/sociological/existence on earth has pros and cons, compromises and sacrifices. There are always forces of nature, physics, chemistry, and the varied gifts of individual humans that we're born with. I can see how easy things get tilted one way or another. Much of it can be a matter of balance, aware moral choice, decision-making skills, and the luck of the draw. Any system will be imperfect, always a price of some sort to be paid, always a trade-off.
