Oh, future tripping, the favorite pasttimes of us ACOAs. I do it, not only for upcoming extended family events, but thinking about what am I going to do to take care of alcoholic mother if something happens to my extremely enabling father?!?
If I am honest with myself though, the things I worry about rarely happen. I get blind sighted by things I never even expected to happen.
