I once went to a hypnotist to help me with weight loss. He gave me a bunch of tapes for his hefty fee and told me to listen to them at bedtime. I noticed no effect. I was really doing my utmost to go into a trance, too! :-D
Oh, and he also told me I was "starved for touch!"
I never went back.
