For me Romando, there is no cure. I know that if I chose to "be on my own" without outside help, I'd have no chance. Face to face meetings (whether 12 step programs or professional therapy) really does help and taking suggestions as if my life depended on those suggestions (because it really does) saved me and continues to save me. It does take work but you are worth it.
If there is no AA group near you, then start one, why not?
