There are no bad meetings.
That. ^
I found that going to step meetings for steps I hadn't "gotten to" yet was very helpful, because it made me relax about "working the steps"… as a control freak codie, my biggest challenge working the steps was
obsessing about whether I was doing them right (I probably drove up my sponsor's consumption of Xanax…).
Going to step meetings for steps 8,9,11 when I was stuck on Step 1 was awesome, because it made me realize that
there was no right way to do it and that, much like raising children (my sponsor's comparison), you build your abilities and skills and understanding and grow in the process.
So the only caution I would throw out there is that when you go to the meeting, do not let yourself be intimidated by Step 11 and think "Oh I will never be able to do that" because you will, when you get there.
