the true First Step
is to
keep the plug in the jug
many of us talk about quitting
dream about quitting
promise our loved ones we will quit etc etc etc etc etc
but
we need to put the bottle down
before we even have a fighting chance at this thing called sobriety
it's hard to get sober when I'm drunk
I've tried to help many of these
some recently have died with the bottle in their hand (while attending AA)
yes it really happens to some
