My AA friend and his nephew have been here all day pulling up carpet where we are putting the tile. LOL, you know it's time to replace the carpet when the beat-up plywood underneath looks like an improvement over the carpet that was just pulled up.
They are also finishing up the ceiling in the basement (still needs to be taped and painted--plus I bought new light fixtures for down there), and finishing the prep for the new flooring in basement. I put the cats out on the screened-in deck so they don't get in the way or get too stressed out. Once the basement is done, I can relocate them to that area.
Yesterday we went to Lowes and picked up the vinyl tile for the basement and paid for the carpet so they can order it. The carpet should get here right around the time they are done with the ceramic tile upstairs (picking that up next Saturday).
