I am sorry for your loss.
We had to put down one of our dogs about 5 weeks ago. She had inoperable bone cancer and was starting to drag that leg around like an anchor. I picked up her ashes 2 days later and drove to the liquor store, went home and got drunk. In retrospect, she thought the world of me, and her memory deserved better.
