I quit smoking in 2/92 (thus my name). It can be done. It's tough and nicotine is a creepy and sneaky drug that will work hard to convince you that you need to continue. Drinking/drugs took me a lot longer. I say this with less than two months of sobriety so I'm not out of the woods ... actually, I'm still stuck in a tree. Be strong, don't give up, and keep posting.
