A little nervous

Hi Everyone.
Tomorrow I am going in for an appointment that involves novocaine injections into my lower back. I have a herniated disc, and Arthritis in the facet joints. It has been a very painful situation for many years. I have had two sets of Cortisone injections over the last 2 months. At the end of each working shift, I am in the same position with pain.
The doctor has prescribed Valium for this procedure. I have this feeling that this procedure is going to be extremely painful. The cortisone shots were very painful, and I did not take meds for those procedures. I will be walking to the appointment, and walking back. Its a 15 min walk. It may take longer considering the Valium. I am not allowed to drive for obvious reasons.
Anyways, I am needing a little comfort. So, I am reaching out.

Thank you,
Mizzuno
