I usually pull up a few verses from the bible about the Lord's love for me.
Zephaniah 3:17 The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.
The God of the Universe is rejoicing over me with gladness? Me?
He is in my midst? Me?
He quiets me with his love? Me?
He is so happy that he is singing loudly for me? Me?
Wow if that doesn't put me in a peaceful meditative state I don't know what will. That's how I meditate! Amen!!
