Setting a "quit' date didn't work for me because that implied I had power over my addictions, which I didn't.
I am also the mother of an active addict, and
I'm not a rehab or detox center.
There are professionals for that sort of thing.
I went through inpatient rehab and will always be grateful for that experience.
