I've heard some scary stuff about Chantix so when I'm ready to slay the next dragon I don't think I'd want to try that. I've heard it works well for some people though so tough call. My friend just started using one of those electronic cigs and hasn't smoked in a couple of weeks.
Most of us smoke more when we drink, so you have probably already cut back without even thinking much about it. I think if you have it in you to stop drinking, you can use same tools and motivation to stop smoking too. Try not to think of yourself as addictive-it makes it all harder somehow.
